Synopsis

Experience shows that qualified, motivated and knowledgeable assistants are a highly valuable asset to any dental practice. This type of motivated team member can easily generate production by properly educating and motivating dental patients. In addition, they can increase productivity by making the dentist more efficient, and in return, help make the dentist's life more enjoyable. But training is a must!

In this 2 day workshop, Dr. Ruiz, Nick Bell RDA, and Melissa Tobin RDA will train dental assistants in 3 main subjects: Improving patient communication and motivation skills; Increasing the assistant's understanding of new dental materials, techniques for adhesive dentistry, and techniques to assist in the diagnose and treatment of occlusal disease; and finally, learning clinical techniques which will lead to excellence in dental assisting by implementing what had been learned.

• Learn principles of communication which will allow patients to "perceive" quality.
• The keys to motivating patients
• Learn why Occlusal health is important and the signs and symptoms of occlusal disease.
• Learn principles of dental adhesion and how proper assisting will improve results
• Train on proper assisting techniques for bonded restorations and occlusion diagnosis and treatment procedures.
